FRAGRANCE BRANDING

in my typography class we were tasked with designing the logo and label for an original fragrance brand. the fictional brand that I came up with is called OG, which is derived from how the first three letters in the greek word ᾰ̓́ρχων (árkhōn), which translates to “Ruler,” look when they are overlayed on top of each other.

this is the product of that first attempt, i was never satisfied with this result.

 
 

REBRANDING

during my final semester at carroll university, we were given the opportunity to revisit an assignment of our choice where we had felt unsatisfied with the result. i selected this fragrance branding project and decided to give the same company a new brand identity that still incorporated many elements of the first attempt.

the rebrand incorporates some of the original ideas of hellenistic styling with simple geometric shapes to creating an interlaced O and G.

with a whole new look, i was able to mockup the brand how i envisioned it in the market.
